What’s Black and White and Read
All Over? — The Rock School Scholarship Benefit
Independence Seaport Museum
May 11th

More than 300 guests gathered for The Rock School Scholarship Benefit on May 11th, 2007 at the Independence Seaport Museum. The black-tie gala, titled What’s Black and White and Read All Over?, honored former Philadelphia Inquirer publisher Bob Hall and his wife Ronna for their contributions to the arts in Philadelphia. Co-chaired by Deborah and Robert Chiumento and Margaret and Michael Tierney, the event raised nearly $200,000 toward the Rock School scholarship fund for young dancers. Representatives from lead sponsors Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelry, Bessemer Trust, and Wachovia Bank were among the guests present for cocktails, dinner and a lively performance by Rock School students. The Rock School is one of the nation’s leading ballet training institutions, serves over 1,000 local students.
